Raised in the wide-open landscapes of Wyoming, Keats discovered early a deep connection to the natural world and the grandeur of the mountains. He pursued architecture at Montana State University, where he honed his skills in both design and woodworking, learning to integrate craftsmanship into thoughtful, site-responsive architecture.
A lifelong traveler, Keats draws inspiration from the places he has explored, bringing a global perspective to his designs while remaining grounded in the rugged beauty of alpine environments. An avid outdoorsman, he feels a personal responsibility to protect the environment, translating this ethos into sustainable buildings through careful selection of systems, materials, and design strategies.
